Replacement of underground cable line – L.002 Sodo – Rifredi

The project involved civil works to replace the existing power line with an underground cable system along the L.002 Sodo – Rifredi section. The main aim was to improve the power transmission system’s efficacy and reliability while also reducing visual and environmental impact.

The works involved the digging of trenches to prepare the underground route and enable correct, safe installation. The horizontal directional drilling method was used for the installation of pipes and high-voltage cables, in order to avoid interference at ground level and with existing structures.

The introduction of this underground cable system reinforced the safety, operating capabilities and environmental integral of the zone’s power infrastructure.
